Zero gravity

Woke up at 330am this morning. I don't know why but I just couldn't sleep. Was supposed to wake up at 5 & head to Xueli's house. Anyways, I got ready and pick up Anil and PL & we set off to Xueli's place. We were all heading to the airport to send her off. Another friend leaving for Australia. Haiz.

It's always hard to say goodbye & this time its no different. The sight of you entering the gates to the departure hall nearly brought tears to my eye. But I stayed strong, not because I was trying to be manly or anything, but because I just didn't want your last image of me to be me tearing. Lame I know.

Ever since I've known you, I knew that this was what you've always wanted. To start a new better life over there in the land down under. I really do hope you will get it. I know you can.

Xueli, from the bottom of my heart I wish you all the best in everything and anything you do. I'm very blessed to have a friend like you. Take care my friend.

Dat New New

Are you having trouble differentiating different facial emotions? Unable to understand complex emotions?

Worry no more because according to new research presented at the annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies in Seattle (yes there is a professional sleep society, how cool is that), rest or specifically Rapid Eye Movement(REM) is able to influence our ability to read other people's emotions by interpreting their facial expressions.

By resting(sleeping), one is able to improve their ability to identify positive emotions in others. Furthermore, researchers show that it can also round out the sharp angles of our own emotional experiences.

Before I forget, this research was carried out by Matthew Walker and his colleagues from the Sleep and Neuroimaging Lab at the University of California. So if you were thinking this was all a hoax, HAH!

With little mental energy, a person is emotionally more attuned to things that are more likely to be most threatening in the immediate moment. Against the grain, when a person is well rested, they may be more sensitive to positive emotions which theoretically could ameliorate long term-survival.

You may ask, Adrian 'The Great One', what are you trying to tell us?

Well all I'm trying to tell you'll is that YOU SHOULD SLEEP MORE! *it helps...seriously

Heart of a Champion!

Tomorrow the NBA Finals will commence. Man I can't wait. This is going to be epic.

Los Angeles Lakers
vs Orlando Magic

It's going to be an all out battle between the two superstars: Kobe 'jellybean' Bryant & Dwight 'Superman' Howard.

Kobe & the LAKERS will be trying to redeem themselves for last years lost in the finals whiles the Magic look to win their first ever world championship.

I'm going to be rooting LA. DUH! GO LAKERS! (they are the monosyllabic arbiter of cool)

I ain't going to start talking trash bout the other team for I have great respect for them. The Magic are playing fantastic basketball this season. Props to them. However I'm still an LA man. Kobe is prodigiously talented at scoring. Dwight is a force to be recon with. IT'S GOING TO BE CATACLYSMIC!
Kobe baptizing Dwight
LAKERS ALL THE WAY BABY!!!
